Andrew "Andy" Paul Horvath, a former resident of Pebble Beach, CA, died unexpectedly on September 9, 2016 at the age of 34, where he lived in Santa Monica, CA.

Andy is survived by his parents, Socorro Santos Horvath of Monterey, Stevan Horvath of Carmel, his brothers: Pete Miramontes of Philadelphia, PA; Gustavo Miramontes of Aguora Hills, CA; and Steve Horvath of Monterey, CA; and nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Andy was born in Monterey on July 28, 1982. He graduated from Pacific Grove High School in 2001 and the University of Michigan in 2006 with a degree in English Literature. After college, he traveled various career paths, but none with as much passion as those that served youth. With great joy, Andy coached several sports teams at both high school and collegiate levels, including Pacific Grove HS, Marina HS and MPC. He was active in numerous volunteer opportunities, such as Big Brothers. Andy's enthusiastic encouragement, mentorship and kindness towards his students and young adults demonstrated his deep compassion for others in his multiple roles in the classroom, on the field and in the community.

Our sweet Andy will be remembered for his brilliant smile, sense of humor, thoughtful conversations, and deep compassion for others.

All are invited to attend Andy's memorial service at Shoreline Community Church (2500 Garden Road, Monterey CA) on Friday Sept. 23rd at 12pm followed by a committal service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA)

Arrangements under the direction of The Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove, CA.
